Stevens & Hand Presents Seminar on Wills for Newlyweds and Married Couples

CARY, N.C. (June 15, 2010) – Stevens & Hand, PLLC is pleased to announce the second seminar in the 2010 Will Seminar Series. Newlywed Wills Seminar: What To Do Before & After ‘I Do,’ is scheduled for Thursday, June 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the office of Stevens & Hand, PLLC. This seminar will focus on why newlyweds and married couples should create a will or update an existing one. Kara Daniels Hand, attorney-at-law, will present the seminar.

Attorney Hand will provide a basic overview of wills, tips for simplifying the process, and helpful insight regarding life changes which may affect your will. The seminar will conclude with a Q&A session, and participants will receive a helpful resource handout.

After observing a wide variety of situations and problems that arise due to the lack of estate planning, the partners at Stevens & Hand launched the 2010 Will Seminar Series as a way to help people understand the importance of being prepared for the future and to provide insight on how to accomplish this goal. Each seminar focuses on a different life stage to address the changing needs of homeowners, newlyweds, parents and older adults.

“When it comes to wills, people have good intentions but they frequently procrastinate because they think it will be time consuming and complicated,” said Hand. “However, completing this process gives most clients irreplaceable peace of mind and can spare families unnecessary worry and expense in the future.”

All seminars are free. Space is limited; registration is required. The remaining seminars for 2010 are scheduled on the following Thursdays: June 17, August 19 and October 7. Call (919) 858-5111 to register.
