Cary Law Office Announces New Partner
CARY, N.C. (March 2008) – The Law Office of Rebecca L. Stevens has named Kara Daniels Hand as a
partner in the Cary-based office, which provides legal services for real estate transactions.
Hand received her juris doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law. She
served as vice president of the Student Bar Association and was the Stetson delegate for
the Young Lawyer’s Division of the American Bar Association. Hand was a visiting
student at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University for her
third and final year of law school. She earned her bachelor of arts in political science and
bachelor of science degree in applied sociology from North Carolina State University and
graduated as a Thomas Jefferson Scholar.

Prior to joining the Law Office of Rebecca L. Stevens, Hand was an independent
practitioner and provided services for wills, collections, and real estate loan closings. She has
also worked as a policy analyst with the John William Pope Civitas Institute in Raleigh.
Hand is a native of Cary and currently resides here with her husband. She is a member of
the First United Methodist Church of Cary. Hand also volunteers to mentor young
women at North Carolina State University and currently serves as an advisor for the
Alpha Kappa chapter of Chi Omega.
