2010 Will Seminar Series Helps Individuals
Prepare Now for Different Life Stages
CARY, N.C. (March 2, 2010) – Stevens & Hand, PLLC is pleased to announce the 2010
Will Seminar Series which will focus on the importance of creating and maintaining your
will throughout life. The four-part series will be presented by Kara Daniels Hand,
attorney-at-law, who focuses on preparation of wills, estate documents, and residential
real estate transactions.
All seminars will provide good, basic information for any individual; however, each one
will have a slightly different life stage focus, addressing the changing needs of
homeowners, newlyweds, parents and older adults preparing for the future.
After observing a wide variety of situations and problems that arise due to the lack of
estate planning, the partners at Stevens & Hand decided to launch the 2010 Will Seminar
Series as a way to help people understand the importance of being prepared for the future
and to provide insight on how to accomplish this goal.
“When it comes to wills people have good intentions, but frequently procrastinate
because they think it will be time consuming and complicated,” said Hand. “Completing
this process, however, gives most clients irreplaceable peace of mind and can spare
families unnecessary worry and expense in the future.”
The inaugural seminar, Homeowner Wills: Reasons Every Homeowner Needs a Will, is
scheduled for Thursday, March 11, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This seminar will focus on
why first-time or any homeowners should have a will or update an existing one. The
session will also help people who are considering a home purchase understand the need
for a will. Attorney Hand will provide a basic overview of wills, tips for simplifying the
process, and helpful insight regarding life changes which may affect your will. The
seminar will conclude with a Q&A session, and participants will receive a helpful
resource handout.
The remaining three seminars for 2010 are currently scheduled on the following
Thursdays: June 17, August 19 and October 7.
All seminars are free. Space is limited; registration is required. Call (919) 858-5111 to
register.
