Attorney Kara Daniels Hand Selected for Leadership Cary
CARY, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2010) – Stevens & Hand, PLLC, a Cary-based law firm which
provides legal services for real estate transactions, wills and powers of attorney,
announces partner Kara Daniels Hand was selected for the Cary Chamber of Commerce’s
Leadership Cary program.
Hand, who is a native and resident of Cary, provides legal services for the preparation of wills and basic estate planning, real estate closings and other legal property issues. She was named partner at Stevens & Hand, PLLC in 2008.
Leadership Cary exposes local business leaders to the most current information regarding
economic development, education, non profits, cultural arts, and government in Cary,
Wake County and North Carolina.

Hand completed her third year of law school as a visiting student at the Campbell
University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While attending Stetson Law School,
where she received her juris doctor degree, she served as vice president of the Student
Bar Association. She was also the Stetson delegate for the Young Lawyers Division of
the American Bar Association. Hand received a bachelor of arts in political science and a
bachelor of science in applied sociology from North Carolina State University where she
was a Thomas Jefferson Scholar.
Hand dedicates her time to mentoring young women and has previously provided
business expertise as the advisor for the Alpha Kappa chapter of Chi Omega at North
Carolina State University. She is a member of First United Methodist Church of Cary and
currently resides in Cary with her husband.
